Guidelines

These guidelines are actually more like rules designed to be a companion to (and not a replacement of) our Terms of Service.

  1. Sites hosting illegal content (e.g. warez, mp3s, etc.) are not permitted. Any site found to be offering illegal content shall have their hosting account terminated without warning and without refund.
  2. Video media files are permitted according to the following rules:
    1. Any videos you upload must be directly related to your website (so you can’t host files for someone else who hasn’t got the space).
    2. You may not host film/music video clips unless they have been released for this purpose (e.g. movie trailers, promotional clips etc.).
    3. Any video files over 5mb must be placed in a zip file (to prevent streaming which uses a vast amount of bandwidth).
  3. Fan St. takes no responsibility for the content of sites hosted on the network and may not be held liable for any wrongdoings.
  4. You may not resell our services but you may offer free subdomain hosting as long as your hostees agree to the Fan St. TOS. You can and will be held responsible for any breaches of the TOS by your hostees.
  5. Monthly payments should be made on time or your account will be suspended. Should you be away on your renewal date please make arrangements in advance.
    1. First offence late-payers have a 7 day grace period. If you do not pay within seven days your account will be suspended. You will then be charged an additional 10% on your months hosting costs as covered in the TOS.
    2. Repeat offence late-payers will have their accounts suspended immediately and be charged an additonal 10% on the months hosting costs.
    3. Suspended accounts will be kept on the server for 30 days from the date of suspension after which time the files will be deleted. We will not keep a back-up of these files.
    4. If late-payment is caused by illness, please contact support@fanst.net - cases will be dealt with on an individual basis but Fan St. is not required to make allowances unless we choose to do so.
  6. Annual payments are required one month in advance of your account’s termination date. You will receive an invoice from us for the next year’s hosting fees.
    1. Assuming you wish to continue with Fan St. for another year, simply pay the invoice and your hosting will continue uninterrupted.
    2. If you wish to upgrade (or downgrade) your account, please contact sales@fanst.net
    3. If you wish to change to monthly billing, please contact sales@fanst.net
    4. If you no longer wish to be hosted with Fan St. you do not have to do anything. On your termination date you account will enter a 7 day grace period. If no payment is received in this time your account will be suspended and deleted after 30 days.
  7. We offer a no-quibble 30 day money-back-guarantee. We will refund the full cost of your hosting at no cost should you decide we are not the host for you. Simply email sales@fanst.net
